ABOUT TREASURES 2010

This year the kids from Jong Bonaire searched for their own roots and cultural heritage and in the process discovered many Treasures of Bonaire during a full month of workshops and activities. This calendar features the 12 teens whose projects best preserve the culture, together with the grandinan (elder Bonaireans) who taught the teens, based on what their elders had taught them.

Your purchase of this calendar will not only help to preserve the cultural heritage of Bonaire, but will also help the after-school program at Jong Bonaire, where the island’s teens prepare for their future without forgetting their past.
